My name is Xin Yang. I am originally from China, and I am currently a specially appointed researcher in the Software Engineering Laboratory at Osaka University. I received my Bachelor of Engineering degree in Software Engineering from the Wuhan University of Technology in 2006. After my graduation, I worked as a software engineer for several software development companies (e.g. Hewlett-Packard Global Delivery China Center) from 2006 to 2009 in China. I started to study in NAIST from 2011, I received my Master of Engineering degree in 2013 and Doctor of Engineering in 2016. My research interests include Empirical software engineering, Human factors and social aspects of software engineering, Mining software repositories, and Gamification in software engineering.
